Greetings disguise town. We just got some more details on the Semi-Finals for the next big thing. The show will be on Friday the 20th of July and will be at the amplifier bar (in the city on Murray Street). We’re on around 10ish, but come early and support all of the bands -they’re all very really very very, ridiculously, good looking.

Speaking of good looking, we also have an acoustic show coming up on the 29th of August at the Swan Acoustic lounge. We will be playing with Good Little Fox and Sir Thomas, so come down for your daily acoustic fix. You know you want to.

Ok gotta make this one short due to furious pre-examination preperation, but just a quick note to let both of you know that we came runner-up on Saturday night at the Next Big Thing heat - which means we’re getting through to the Semi-Finals, held some time in July. I’ll keep you all posted on the dates. Also took some pictures on Sat night which we’ll be uploading shortly. Moooo mamoooo cha cha

You’re favourite disorganised Perth band, The Disk Eyes, has some news from the depths of Matt’s basement. We’ve recruited the help of Juengers to become our low frequency, 4-stringed warrior on the bass gittar. The songs are now sounding better than ever - even the old classics, including doorbell 1 2 3 & 9.

We’ve also taken it upon ourselves to enter into the next big thing competition. As part of this, we need to take some press shots and other various bits and pieces so stay tuned for some activity on the website in times to come.

Finally, I think we’ve secured a gig at the Velvet Lounge in Mt Lawley for a date coming up at the end of May. Stay tuned for more news regarding The Disguise and Piano Key Neckties.

Ok now we’ve got a gig next week at the Hydey for some band competition. Not sure of all the details yet but we’ll keep you posted.

UPDATE: Didn’t win the band comp. The honours went to a funk band.

Ok, some stuff has happened. First of all, Mouth left the band to go on to bigger and better things. Now we exist as a power trio. Recorded some new (old) demo tunes that are available at the myspace. Hopefully gigs will start coming soon. We’ll let you know.
